A few years ago I had my first sip of beet juice, and it was so good that I considered running to the store right then to pick up my own juicer. (Alas, one glance at my cramped kitchen cabinets held me back.) But beyond the sweet taste and purple color I keep finding new reasons to splurge on drinks made with fresh beet juice: Last year scientists found that regularly drinking one cup of beet juice helped exercisers work out longer and harder—increasing stamina—and recently another study found that the nitrates in beets can help improve blood flow to the brain, which may help decrease risk of dementia. If you visit a juice bar, or have your own machine, try a blend such as beet, apple, and ginger, which is tasty and packed with good for you nutrients.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about beet juice, too! I think making your very own healthy juices at home won’t only help you save money, but you are also guaranteed on the nutrients that you’ll get to enjoy with your homemade drinks.
